Is a move to PE from MBB worth it?
Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

Have you thought of offering lessons to students of those crafts?
That’s something I’ve considered, just not in this phase of my life

Both creative project management and operations are all execution …I’d suggest learning graphic design and building a portfolio
That’s fair…I guess because I’m coming from recruiting on paper that would be a next step. That makes me curious as to what that process would look like? Learning a new skill then getting a career in it. Context: I’m a COVID college grad (‘21)

You’re young!
There are many scholarships (just use Google search) for women and black people wanting to learn digital skills. Take a virtual or in person course, build a portfolio and get a role as a junior graphic designer.
There are even free videos online as well but a class would be useful in helping you build a portfolio
I’d suggest a few things to start: Find a mentor in creative/production operations who may be able to dig into your established toolbox to identify some transferrable skills, then apply those skills to pivot and find an opportunity like production coordinator or even an office coordinator and work your way up. No mentor or not even skills yet to make the jump? Join a Facebook group like “Hue you know…for BIPOC in media” and find some side gigs as an office coordinator, office PA, moving up to production coordinator on various shoots or for studios + agencies. This will help you learn the nuances of creative production/project management, find what area of creative media you enjoy managing the most and get you paid.
