Just make up a good story. The goal is to provide sufficient information to satisfy their question and move on. Prior to my life as an attorney, I regularly interviewed people and what I really wanted to hear was how you did "X", whether it was true or not. It's not my place to determine the authenticity of your story. That said, if you make something up, think about how you would answer the next logical questions.

Would you ever let your firm/company know that you are looking to leave before you give your two weeks notice? Here’s my conundrum, I have a great relationship with my boss, company, and upper management. I’m planning to switch jobs so I can relocate closer to family. I have some interviews coming up, and already have an offer in hand, so leaving is a foregone conclusion. My boss is going to be blindsided when I tell them I’m leaving - I can’t overstate how great our relationship is. Thoughts?

Can someone kindly connect me with Investment Banking HR/Recruiter/anyone willing to help? My friend interviewed for Goldman Sachs NY. Cleared the HireVue but didn’t get any communication further. Need to get in touch with someone from investment banking to push the resume. The rolling process is hurting the chances.Thank you Goldman Sachs

What are your success stories about succession planning? I was hired as a lateral to work on/help sustain a retiring partner's book of business. During my interview in 2017, he said his target retirement would be 2019-2021. Now, after a good 2020 (for our practice area), he mused that he might not retire until 2025. I don't want him to feel pushed out, and have a lot to learn from him, but I do want to help/plan handoff of work. Interested in guidance for how to have these conversations!

Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
