6-12 Social Studies Teachers!

Took content knowledge praxis for the 4th time today and missed by 2 points for NJ standard. Does anyone have any study tips? I want to give up but I don’t. It’s just very frustrating! Help please!

I used the Dummy books. Great summary at the end of each chapter. I used “World History for Dummies”

If at first you don’t succeed. It took me 3 times. I noticed that the different versions had more of certain questions. One had more economics, one more world civ, and the 3rd time I got a version with a concentration of US history and govt. questions and that’s the time I passed about 25 years ago. Good luck. It will happen just don’t give up.

Does NJ have a test prep booklet? I’m in PA, so we have the praxis series for certification. Each test has a prep book. I found that to be helpful 17 years ago.

Any recs on finding a good tutor for GMAT? Should I look a different place for quant vs. verbal tutors, or are there tutors that can help with both? Also, is it realistic to think I can get someone for $150 an hour, or is that too low? Lastly, how many tutoring sessions do you think are necessary to reap the benefits? (Lots of Qs, sorry!) For context, am considering using a tutor specifically to help tighten up weak points between my 1st and 2nd sitting

Just checked into Marriott and did not get upgraded with platinum status. Thought this was because they were booked, but another person who is gold got upgraded. Any thoughts on how many points can be had. I'd prefer a room, but it's a bit annoying since I'm traveling with family and a baby and we unpacked our bags

I interviewed with the client and it has been a couple of weeks since I’ve heard from the hiring manager (3 weeks since 2nd interview). I’ve already informed my engagement team. I was told that they would inform me if there was a decision made and I’ve known previously that the offering process at this company can take up to a month. Should I reach out again for status update or wait to hear back from hiring manager?

I’m taking on my MBA as I was laid off due to COVID-19 and the market is tight out there right now. One thing that’s always held me back is that I had a horrible senior year, which killed my otherwise stellar GPA. I was in a dangerous abusive relationship that year and was lucky to even make it out. I did graduate and now, 10 yrs later, I have a strong resume behind me.
