Any recommendations on money management apps like Mint/YNAB/Personal Capital for a recent college grad? Just starting to look into them and I'm curious what other people in a similar position use
Just got finished with two huge projects I had to turnover in a very tight timeframe. One of them barely had any revisions and the other got clobbered with redlines. Clearly the latter was the one I was working on at 2am. This is my very first assignment as a first year at big law and I wanted to make a good first impression. I feel like I squandered that opportunity.😣
Looking for ideas on how other companies are celebrating and recognizing diversity holidays like LGBT pride month Juneteenth black history month women’s history month etc.Not just days off
For those who have CDD experience - does the short length of engagements (3-5 weeks) always lead to long hours? Should I expect to average 60 hours a week even though I would only be staffed on one engagement?
For those who moved from audit to advisory, would you have started your career in advisory instead of audit if that was an option or do you think your audit experience was still valuable?
Are you or have you been the sole HR person at the company? What are the pros & cons? I haven’t been, but a recruiter reached out with an opportunity to be one. They currently use the parent company’s HR but are buying themselves out to be a stand alone firm. TIA!
My stress level is bad due to working for incompetent people. One partner would send me work with garbage instructions or for things that are completely out of my expertise, and when I ask for guidance they turn around and ask another attorney to explain to me. What the heck - why would you give me work if you don’t even know how to do the work or what you’re looking for? How do these people make partners?
Where o where is my motivation 🎶
Hi everyone, I’m an analyst and I’m trying to be able to justify my work using logic and reasoning without appearing defensive - does anyone have tips for this?
Claim unemployment or try to find your hardest to find a job in the next month and omit the layoff? I want to rush but not settle. Definitely don't want to go back into consulting.

Does industry accounting usually pay better overall then auditing? I feel like auditors and even tax are under paid for the amount of work we have to do. Uppers claim we make comparable salaries to industry jobs but we end up working an extra 300-400hrs in a year then most industry jobs would.
Can someone give me some tips on applying for a role at salesforce? Or can refer me? Thanks!
MFW I turn in all my stuff to Deloitte after getting laid off and the IT guy says "congratulations!" as I'm leaving
Has anyone (or anyone you know personally) quit their job because your agency required return to office and you/they just can’t do that again? I keep waiting for the quitting wave to start (as predicted by every publication on the internet). I only know of one person. But I can’t deal with the idea of being chained to a desk at a not-my-place anymore.
Any tips on how to find a practice area that you don’t hate? Also, how do you know whether you should choose litigation or transactional? Having daily existential crises at my current job.
I have case interview with Deloitte. I applied for Technology Service Optimization Analyst (ServiceNow) role. Is the case interview going to be specific to ServiceNow related? Thanks
No I do not want to go to a freaking team dinner 2nite. Its 2days after a holiday and we're all exhausted and saying yes because we feel like we have to. Plz just let me workout and take my pants off.
Has anyone read Snakes in Suits?
Recruiter called me after final round interview and asks my salary expectation and start date, but she told me I have not received an offer yet and she's just gathering data points. Is this a good sign or bad sign?
My SO and I will be long distance for 2 years while I’m in business school. I will be in the Midwest and they’re on the west coast. I’m super nervous because I haven’t done long distance before. We’re planning on 1 week/month (or something like that) of having them with me on campus. I will join them for holiday breaks. Can anyone offer advice? I really, really want to make this work.
Considering a role at PWC. Currently Principal Director at Accenture Strategy & consulting. May get an offer as Level 3 Director. Should I push for MD or it is okay? How does is compare? TIA.
If you had a 33% chance of making MD as an SM with 18 months left to make your story, would you take an offer at a tech company with equal base pay, somewhat better bonus, and $750k of RSUs?
What are some good cities to visit via flight for a weekend from Dallas and not in the south? Will also likely be a solo trip. I'm also a small woman so safe areas would be a plus
Anyone working in Corp-dev M&A willing to share their experience? A role came across my radar for an M&A analyst at a PE backed FSI firm. How are the usual factors - comp, lifestyle, future exits/opps, etc

7 Years experience in SAP . Switched for the first time but not liking the new job as it's just OPs support. Can we switch within a month? Willl there be any impact? Don't want to go to another helll. Should I wait a few more months?
Are there any CA family law firms looking to contract out work (legal research, drafting briefs, disclosures, forms, discovery, etc.)? It will allow you more availability to acquire new clients. I have over 6 years of experience and am well-versed in family code and case law. (My attorney is on family leave so we don't have the workload I'm used to right now, and my husband might be switching jobs with a pay cut, so it wouldn't hurt to earn some extra money.)
So does anyone else have an excel sheet that plots out their projected income for the next 5 years?
