I am interviewing as a senior consultant at KPMG finance strategy and transformation in Switzerland
1) Any tips on case types and specific questions to prepare for?
2) can anyone provide insights into the type of work they do? I do know the basics, but would appreciate input from someone who works there KPMG

I give a thumbs up to Mt Freelance mentioned above.
Also, check out The Futur, Freelancers Union, AIGA, and the Graphic Artists Guild. They have info on contracts, pricing, and how to freelance.
Good luck.
If you made $100K fulltime, charge $80 hourly or $800 daily.

I’ve been freelancing for 7 years now. Years of experience ? Position? Do you have awards? Forget about your full time salary.
Most clients will send you their contract, they don’t expect you to give them one. Make sure you read it! As for setting a rate, it depends on what you’re doing and your experience. I found it helpful to ask producer friends what people with my background were charging. I used to just have a day rate when I would go to an agency and work by the day. Then you can break that into hourly if you need to.
Two common methods:
Lower method: Salary / 125 for day rate. So if you make $100k / year, your day rate is $800.
Higher method: Salary / 100 for day rate. So if you make $100k / year, your day rate is $1,000.
Then to get your hourly rate, take your day rate and divide by 8 or 10, your choice.
