Also curious about this. I’m sick of waiting tables, but somehow getting filtered out for cleaning jobs.
You got any signs of moving up or do you not want too?

I think it may be a red flag for some employers that you may be searching for something outside of your field. For me, I’d consider anyone with transferable skills. But the job market is so competitive for every position, they probably have enough candidates with experience within the field to consider, than to choose someone outside of the given field. I’d say to highlight your skills and how they will transfer and be useful to elevating the business
What would you put on your cv to stand out?
Making your CV stand out is important. Use Canva, or some other program, to make it visually appealing (they have great templates).
When you're writing the CV, express your strong interest in the position, your eagerness to transition to a new sector, and how your background in a previous role can support you in the role, and how your experience would benefit your employer.
"My background in management has taught me ....."
"Management has given me the skills to...."
"I am fully committed to the training provided..."
I hope this helps. It's a frustrating job market right now. Unfortunately, this means employers have their pick of the crop and are hesitant to take chances on someone from a different sector. Do not let that discourage you; keep trying!
Best of luck.
Thank you for the advice
