165k for 2100 is abysmal for a 1st year, let alone a 4th year. Unless you’re stuck there, it’s time to go. The “I love my team” thing is understandable cope. But it’s cope nonetheless. If they’re not paying you sufficiently for your services, they don’t love you.
If you don’t look out for yourself, no one will.

man this x100. OP, forget all that team love stuff. Love yourself (and your bank account) enough to ensure you’re being paid adequately for your time and services.
Not sure what your practice area is, but you could probably be making nearly double that in biglaw billing the same 2100…
I made that salary (plus bonus) as a first year in 2009. In Austin. In a boutique (though one that hired from the same pool as BigLaw). My hour requirements were 10-20% higher.
It isn’t greedy to want more. You can always look and not move.
What kind of law are you practicing? If you’re largely doing insurance defense work 2100 hours isn’t out of the norm and neither is 165k base for a 4th year
I’m not in Austin but I agree with this
I am Clearly in a different world. I’m a 6th year and I wish I was making $165k 😭
First of all, don't compare yourself to other people. You don't know what they're going through or what their actual finances look like outside of what they are willing to tell you. The fact that you love your team means a lot, and I don't think you're greedy for thinking you should be making more if that's what you really believe. Maybe start putting some feelers out there and seeing what you can find?
I think this advice comes from the right place but is ultimately very damaging. OP is working their ass off for less than 50 cents on the dollar. 4th years in big law made $405k last year and, on average, they worked significantly less than 2100 hours.
OP, it is good that you love your team, but it is utter foolishness in a career this demanding not to be constantly informing yourself about what your peers are being paid, how much they’re working, etc. Demand the best for yourself. Everything else is secondary.
You’re not being greedy, definitely start looking
C1 is right. Take a look, get an offer, come back and ask for more, see how you feel after you get the response from your firm.
Keep in mind that as a 4th year you are probably at the peak of your marketability. If you don’t at least look now you will always wonder what could have been.
