I’ve got a toddler and my wife is an accountant (industry), and we only have a few immediate family in the country- but they have health concerns. Busy season was rough, things are looking better now as things return to normal. Still working crazy hours if you count the daycare duties on top of utilization targets.

Interviewing for a Google job. Currently an M2 at Meta. On the cusp of a D1 - what’s the equivalent level for D1 at Google? In Austin - so what salary should I be asking for and RSUs? Currently make base $250k plus 25% bonus and started Meta with 200k in stock. This job is not for women with kids unless you go on some sort of reduced schedule or stay up super late most nights after the kids are asleep. This is so impossible!! 😖 just needed to vent somewhere

Early mornings became my best friend once I had kids. Managing to put 2 to 3 hrs of work Sat and Sun before they are awake means that I get to spend more time with them during the day.

Pregnant with my third child now and wondering what is the right time to tell work. I did it really early with my first two because I wanted to plan ahead, but now thinking about it, I feel like it just set me up for failure those years because I was reassigned from tasks and kept underutilized.
