I'm currently in-between jobs and applying for full-time permanent roles. I'm 14 weeks pregnant, so wouldn't get SMP but would get mat leave (London based). I am wondering if securing another role in consulting will be too stressful and whether to look beyond. Can anyone suggest companies in the UK with the best mat leave culture and attitude towards women taking time out to raise babies?!

I have given my interview in HCL and cleared 1 TP, 1 hcl manager & Client TP and Client Manager rounds .
In initial screening HR told the generic statement of 30-40% and I have given my ask as 50% minimum. After clearing the rounds I heard from the project team that Client has given great feedback and wanted to take me in .
What is the % I can ask in HR Discussion and will they reject in HR if I ask more now .
I have 9.5 years total experience and role is Storage Architect.

After my HR round today, Hr called up and said that will move forward with the offer but approvals with higher management might take some time as there is a hiring freeze.
Do you think offer will be released? And how much time these approvals take ?

She mentioned at the end that they are definitely going to offer as all feedbacks are positive.
