I’m about to start an internship at IBM for UX Research. I’m super excited about it, and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the design culture there or how the company is for designers? So far online I’ve only heard about the company from consultants or software engineers. For more reference I’ll be working in Austin.
Any Spotify people here? Noticed there’s an AM role going at the moment in the UK but not sure what experience level it is. For reference I’ve got 6 years in ad sales experience with 3 years management (both in music industry). Would this be comfortable or is it worth holding out for AD?

In my experience, most postings are written by "corp" HR people, who as we all know, have a zero clue what true skills and experiences are required for a given position.
Reading your comments, I would say you far exceed the criteria. Thye might be referring to Cloud HR versus PSFT or EBS, but this should not matter. The ETE HR processes are the same and do not different platform. As for me, I know what Payroll is, for example, but would be clueless to try and show any type knowledge. And Payroll has nothing to do with an application.
Your process knowledge is what you should be positioning. And yes you do need hands on experience with Cloud as that is all that is being sold.

The trick is to get past gatekeepers like 3rd party recruiters, HR managers etc. to land interviews with hiring staff. You say whatever the gatekeepers want to hear. Once you’ve secured technical round of interview, you can show your knowledge and experience.
