Don't! Please don't! They hired me as a consultant just a few months back. Joined on Oct.1, 2024, and received an email from my employer on Nov. 27th that they are putting Consultants ( Contingent Labor, as they call it) on furlough for "cost cutting" reasons due to losses incurred as a cause of recent Helene cyclone. This furlough was expected to be until Jan 4, 2025, but I still haven't heard from my employer or my manager in Baxter. So, even before I could receive my second salary, I was told that I'm being put on furlough!
Tust me. There's absolutely no certainty. You might return home today after that work, but tomorrow morning, you might be told that you're being put on furlough or your contract has been terminated. Haven't received any pay for the last month, nor am I going to any receive anything this month either. It's a frustrating experience & you might be sharing the same frustration if you plan to join. It wasn't related to my performance; I'm certain about it because my team members and the superiors of my reporting manager were quite happy with my deliverables. They didn't care about ruining someone's Christmas and New year! It was such a terrible start of the new year for me!
If, by any chance, your manager's name is Balamurugan; take a U-turn to save your time & yourself from endless frustration. He kept cooking different stories to convince me till Dec. 30th, and after that, I stopped following up.
I already have a new offer in hand, and I'm planning to join from Feb 1st, even when I don't want to as it's from a startup, but I have no other option. I was giving interviews in September and again in January, and I'm back to square one. It was such a nightmare!
I can just read and understand how frustrating this situation could be. Hope everything turns fine soon
Time will teach everything—many brutal managers assume their job is fixed. That is not true., All brutal managers must receive feedback from Anshita Singh. She is ruthless behavior HR. Now she is searching job.
Now she knew how unethically removed employees are suffered. She is an evil lady. One of the best decisions taken by Baxter management.
She sacked unethically many employees. But Baxter management sacked her. Now she knew Nothing was permanent.
Brutal Lady Anshita Singh, Have a happy job search.
Dear HR Bro. I want to give you a small advice. Life is a circle. Whoever is on top will come down. Whoever is down will go top. we never know when it will happen. Nothing is permanent. They are firing people everywhere!
ohh.. this is concerning
I've not received a single positive response
They may give a 30% hike to hire. But they will assign bug-fixing tasks. You have to fix bugs very quickly. some times it is possible . some time we can't fix bug quickly. It is depends on applications flow and understanding domain knowledge. if they not happy within three months HR and manager initiate PIP program. No job security
In the offer letter, 3 months of the notice period. Based on the notice period you can't plan anything. If you resign the same day ask you to leave. It depends on HR and the manager's plan. suppose an Employee plans as " I am going to resign. In the notice period, I will get the job like an employee can't plan The HR will cancel the notice period anytime."
Very frustating experience
