When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. Clawback clause in current contract: been in role for over 2 yrs, it was an internal move that required relocation. Relocation was approved shortly after (over 2 yrs ago) but covid meant the actual move and start of my contract with new subsidiary was delayed, I was paid by the previous subsidiary meanwhile. I miss music. Like actual bands with instruments and vocal ability. Feels like the music industry is so hollowed out that multi-member instrumental bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and even Metallica are no longer able to take root.

There are a few talented individual singers (Adele) a lot of awful mumble rappers, but no actual bands that will stand the test of time. Before I get called a Boomer, the problems with the music industry for new artists are well documented.

Chris Stapleton might be a cool guy. Maybe he has some good music. But every time I hear him sing “drive on” during a Ram commercial I want to punch him in the face. Ram has overplayed that one.

The stress has lead to an eating disorder that I can’t get control of. I’ve lost 25 pounds since starting at the firm two and a half years ago. I am 20 pounds less than I was in high school... I don’t know how to get control again. Even when the stress lays off I can’t eat more due to being used to being busy for almost 9 months out of the year...

My Senior Manager quit on us a couple of months ago, now my manager just did as well yesterday.
