Just started a new role in finance and I’m the only woman on the team. It’s been 3 weeks and the guys have been pretty unwelcoming and kind of rude. The first day everyone was welcoming but it went downhill since. One of them keeps trying to scare me that the work will get hard etc and there’s always awkward silence and sometimes unnecessary rude remarks. I just started and don’t feel right what should I do.

Looking for a friendly discussion here... don’t know if there is a straight forward answer, but why are we allowed to put more in a 401k vs an IRA? They are essentially the same thing (correct me if I’m oversimplifying) with the main difference being 401ks are provided by employers. Do you feel like this could be a contributor to the wealth gap? 401ks are more of the norm at white collar jobs and a lot of companies don’t offer one. Is it fair? Talk to me.

I am a sales rep and have worked extremely hard to build a large book of business. Every year upper management seems to find a way to cut commissions and make my hard work, worth less. Is this common? It’s pretty draining to work harder and get paid less year over year even though you’re typically getting more business. I don’t feel valued. Do more for less? Any other great sales companies/ industries that people are happy with and compensated accordingly? Preferably uncapped commissions

I got offer from NatWest Chennai location . My skills set is project management 13 years experience. They have mentioned in my offer letter B7 corporate title is associate. When I ask to hr guy he said it is equal to Manager level. But title will change department department. Is it true? B7 is manager role ? What is CDIO department in Natwest. Please clear my doubts

My relevant work experience as a Programmer is 3 years but my overall experience is 9 years where I worked in a BPO earlier. When I try to switch companies, I'm not getting shortlisted coz the pay I'm getting now for a 3 yr experienced person is more than that in the market and I'm not getting at least a 30% pay increase from recruiters. Looking for some sales career advice - I am currently working for an organization that sells IT services. I’ve been here for a couple of years and spent my first year cold calling and my second year doing account management and sales. I feel like I have a low base of $50K, with an OTE of 110 however, I expect to meet closer to the 130 to 140 mark. I now have an offer for 65K OTE of 65K from a startup and it would be completely remote and is offering equity. Any advice is appreciated😊

Interviewed and was offered a job that has tons of growth potential and better area to live in. Offer is more money than what I make now but would require leaving everything I know behind and starting in a new state. Do employers typically negotiate within reason? I’m looking for 5% more than what was offered.

I gave an interview in TCS on 2nd August, yesterday my status in the tcs ibegin portal changed to ‘Evaluated’. I called the hr but she is saying that it still needs to go through approvals. Any idea how long it takes for TCS to release the offer after the evaluation? Are there any chances of rejection post evaluation?
