Go for it. Sept is 3 months off. I wouldn't mention anything about paternity leave or start time until they offer you the job. Once they decide they want you, they are more likely to be accommodating. At this point, you don't know their paternity leave policy. You may be able to start now and get paternity leave. Your job right now is to get the job offer. Good luck!
Thank you for this input! I needed another point of view!
Good Luck OP, hope you are the interview and congratulations on your upcoming child.

They interview painters?
Chief
A painter is typically part of the maintenance team at a hospital (and many other places) so, yes, they would interview a painter.
I worked at a performing arts center, and our maintenance team including having one person whose job was 99% to paint. He had to do regularly scheduled checks of all the buildings and set a schedule to get to all the painting jobs that needed to be done. If the place is big enough, it is very typical to have a painter on staff.
I am very puzzled by my latest interaction with a couple of different companies. First situation - I received a letter from a company that I had applied for a position a year prior. This company majority of the time contacts you either 6 months or a year after you applied for a job. The First time response for a Invitation for a Interview and I did have a Interview with them, but it disturbed me because all Three supervisors on the panel didn't turn on their camera during the zoom interview and stated after I said I cannot see them, their response was they didn't have a camera on their computer. I am sure that was untrue, just rude & unprofessional to me. Another invitation for a interview from the same company, different position, I received the same week. I responded as advised that I was still interested and never heard back from them, even after I did a follow up about still being interested in the position.
I got a email today after a month I never got a Interview or a response that I wanted to Interview for this job. They stated they had a lot of excellent candidates and decided to move on with other candidates.
I had another disappointment with a different company, that once I applied and they consider sending me a invitation for a interview, they never follow through with contacting me about sitting up the interview. I had the same reaction from this company twice. The first position, the lady responded with a invitation for a interview, I followed through with stating I wanted to Interview. She said she was out of the office with limited use for responding back by a computer. So, I waited and sent another response, I got nothing. I waited again and sent another response, she responded stated she was sending me another time/date for which she never sent the first one. I didn't get that one either. So, I reached out with stating I didn't get it. She sent a interview date/time late that night for the very next day. I thought about it for a moment and decided to decline because of the unprofessionalism of her follow-ups.
I applied the second time with this company and got a invitation for a Interview from the same HR person and again no follow through with setting up the Interview. I am done with this company.
I haven't lost all hope, I had a company I applied for a position with them, reached out to me about sitting up a Interview. I had to answer some questions and then, I got the invitation for a interview. I received several notifications with the zoom link and reminders about the up coming interview. The Interview happen via zoom with the HR person on camera and I got the information she stated she was sending me after the Interview. Thank goodness their are still some companies who conduct themselves with professionalism and decency.

This should not be a response to this guy's post.
I wasn't trying to respond to their post. I was writing about my experiences with the Interviewing situations. That person should have responded to me if it bother them and NOT YOU.
Ok, I couldn't get the post to allow me to do it, that's why my thread was in the wrong place.
