I’m in a tough spot. Company A has dragged out the process for 6 months. They finally agreed to match a competing offer from Company B, but now they are delaying the actual release of the letter.

My joining date for Company B is almost here. Given Company A's lack of communication and 6-month timeline, should I even bother waiting, or is this a sign of how they operate?

I'm having total 7+ yoe (5+yrs embedded developer + 2yrs in FuSa automotive) Initially HCL have denied what I've expected for automotive FuSa and they have given an offer of 10LPA with a justification that my relevant experience is less, now I'm holding an offer of 18 LPA and asked HCL for a counter offer for the same position what do you guys think will HCL offer me this much?
