USI Insurance brokerage and consulting - thoughts? A recruiter reached out to me via linked in and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on this company. They seem to have decent reviews on Glassdoor but I was hoping to get more insight into workload and comp. Thanks in advance! USI

There was no culture when we were in the office and there’s none now for obvious reasons. There are some good opportunities to grow, but the workload is never ending. Insanely tight timelines, overlapping work streams, and rebriefs galore.
Agree - depends on the team of course but I’ve never been as overworked as at MHNY
I think it really depends on what account you’re on and perhaps department. I love my team and have only had a positive experience here. WFH was instituted at a time when the agency was entering a new era of growth and change so culture is a work in progress. It’s a little hard to judge any place on culture when we’re all remote. From what I’ve seen though and for what it’s worth, leadership seems genuinely interested and concerned about creating a really great place to work for people. But at the end of the day, every situation is different. They agency is also getting a lot of new business too. My opinion though!

I agree with MH2 that it’s hard to build a culture remotely. But they’re trying very hard and there are a lot of compassionate people there, including in upper management. Some teams are great, others less so—like any agency. Once we get back to the office (eventually) it should get better. It really is a fun place to work when we’re all together. I miss those days.
