There’s not a job in the world that meets that description inside or outside of accounting.
Could do solo tax prep or book keeping, but you’d still have to deal with your clients. There may be some sort of govt position that could work as well
Ideally you’d spend a couple years at like a small/midsized firm doing the kind of returns you hope to do solo until you get your sea legs and then go off solo. Salary is entirely limited by how much work you can sell and complete at a satisfactory level
You can’t avoid people…that’s just not the real world. Part of your career development is learning how to work with others and building professional relationships.
This is all part of the learning curve
Go into it audit maybe ?
Haha-so sad you haven’t met me yet. You’re not wrong though… the percentage of us with personalities is low.
I hear ya! I’ve been in this world of accounting for a long time and keep saying the same thing… what can I do to avoid the BS of people? Runaway to a beach and bartend. Else, it’s not avoidable.
That said, with all the roles I’ve had, data analysis/analytics and forensic accounting type roles have allowed me to put my head down and work on my own, once others showed me the ropes. Tax too, certain groups, compliance not consulting type roles.
I don’t know much about forensic accounting, and how I can exit to data now sis of forensic accounting from my accounting jobs
