Hey team! So I was laid off from my SDR position about a week ago. A couple months back, I had an offer for a BDR position that I ended up turning down but I really liked and connected with the manager. Is it worth it to reach out? I applied to other positions in the same company. What about reaching out to previous co workers at a different company? Not sure how to navigate this… please help. I’m taking the NY bar in February and FL bar in July. Any advice on getting into a contracts drafting role or in-house for a record label in either of these states? My experience is limited to only taking entertainment law and a contracts drafting course in law school (limited availability of entertainment related courses at my school)

How diligent is Mintz background check. When it comes to education? My references, credit, criminal and work experiences will check out. However said I already graduated school when I am in reality a month away from graduating. The company sent over the contract and start date at the same time as the background check.

Hi all... my name is Jill. I am a guidance counselor at Syosset High School located in Long Island NY. (9-12). We are a highly competitive school district with college admissions being paramount.

Seriously considering a move to NYC. Any counselors in the area? Wanting a bit of insight into the hiring process! I hear it’s very competitive, but I wanna get a feel for if that means “basically impossible” or “it might take a bit longer than you think.”

Background: It’s my 3rd year as an elementary school counselor and I’d like to stick with elementary or middle. I have friends and family in NYC and Long Island and I’m looking for a change of scenery (and a pay increase, tbh).

A miracle happened! My principal says that we will not administer the ACT! We will actually be able to do our jobs!

Are any other counselors getting pulled constantly for testing? I am in NC and my district is in person 2 days a week and remote 3 days a week with A on Mons and Tues, B Thurs and Frids, and group R fully remote. So when we test, we have 3 different groups 3 times the testing and not to mention the accommodations...

Hi my name is Colleen and I’m school counselor at an urban high school in upstate New York. We are all virtual this year. All of our students are learning at home and trying to get in contact with all of them is difficult.

Currently have a 5th grade girl who is struggling with classroom behaviors and choices. When questioned, she says she wants to be a boy, but her parents won’t allow it. Obviously, she is struggling with more than making good choices at school. Her parents are very kind and appreciative of all we do for their child, but they are also clearly struggling with this. Anyone ever been in a similar situation or have some advice on how we can best support the student?
