I fly twice a year (Thanksgiving domestic and Christmas international). It’s worth it for me to have both the Capital One Venture X card and the Chase Sapphire Preferred card. The VX is what I use to pay my domestic flight. I only use it for about 1-3 transactions a year and still gain $5. The lounge and Global Entry are useful for me. I save enough Chase points to pay for my international flight fully. Travel insurance from these cards are 100% worth it. I have had my baggage delayed so many times when I travel internationally. They have covered a lot of nicer expenses that I splurged on because of delayed baggage. I also enjoy the cell phone insurance offered by these cards. I was dumb and in 1 year paid for 8 screen replacements on an iPhone before learning of those benefit.

Absolutely worth it. Venture X + either Sapphire are great premium cards for most people. You can supplement them with no annual fee cards like Savor One, Freedom Unlimited/Flex, and various Ink cards.
