Have a month off late summer and looking for recommendations. Looking for something adventurous. Potentially a sailing trip in Florida or road trip to national parks if they’re open at that time, anyone have experience with these?

Did a two-week road trip a few summers back through some state / national parks, and would recommend Yellowstone and Grand Tetons - we hit other parks including Badlands and Custer State Park, which were pretty great as well but definitely did not require as much time to explore. If I were to do it again, I’d add Glacier National Park to the itinerary

To add to what D1 said, what level of park access are you looking for? Do you want to drive through, stop at a few scenic points, then move on? Do you want to park, grab an overnight bag, and spend a few days wandering the countryside? Or somewhere in between?

No problem. These rec’s attempt to point out the more popular destinations. You could spend 2 weeks around Moab and just get everything done. Feel free to DM me with any other questions if that’s easier. I love talking about adventuring in the American SW

Got braids. You'd think I literally got a face transplant from how shook my coworkers are. I would say over 10 people have stopped me to ask about them or comment on them and I've been at work for maybe 2 1/2 hours. It's all been positive, but am I wrong for still finding it annoying? They don't lose their minds when Sarah gets bangs or whatever so I wish they could keep that same energy.

Bit of a niche topic: I’ve been in TS/SCI processing for a Science/Tech/Weapons analyst position with the CIA for 3 yrs since I finished grad school in chemistry, but CIA positions are sort of set it and forget it since they can take so long. I’ve since been focused on a Patent Attorney track and am with a firm that will support me taking the patent bar/law school. If I get through processing and go to the CIA for some time, do you think would I be accepted back into patent law later on?
