Big Island. Beautiful beaches to relax on/snorkel at while plenty of outdoor activities to choose while not being too touristy
Edit: ^ I was talking about the BI western side, where Kona is and not Hilo 😂
Four days is not a lot of time. I would recommend just staying at a big resort in Honolulu and getting a room that directly faces Waikiki Beach, or at another island with a similar resort/ beachfront view.
They’ll likely be full service so you can get access to everything you might want to do easily. You’ll pay for it but with a lack of time, you’d need the convenience
I stayed 3 days in Honolulu but also went to the Big Island and drove around Oahu (didn’t do North Shore though).
Will explore other islands/ areas in the future but I thought Honolulu was convenient. I also loved the farmers markets there
Lanai is perfect for a mix of relaxing and adventuring, especially for 4-5 days. It’s expensive though, the only hotels on the island are the two Four Seasons properties. But absolutely worth it if you can swing it.
