What do you do when small local firms won’t give your resume the time of day, but everyone you ask for resume feedback on says your materials are fine? These aren’t big law or boutiques, we’re talking probably paying $20-30 an hour part time as an associate with firms of 1-3 attorneys generally. I know biglaw is recovering from COVID but has it really hurt small law so badly getting an interview is next to impossible? Any and every practice area. Work is work. Approx. 500k local population size.
Would you be put off if a company that is reaching out for recruiting described their culture as “high intensity, 24/7 execution mindset”?
Are there any healthcare PR agencies who are open to hiring those with little to no experience but who are really interested in learning? I would be interested in transitioning from B2B / tech / advertising into healthcare and taking a lower title, but a couple recruiters have told me most do not want to train incoming talent. I totally understand of course, but wondering if an SAE applying for a lower title in a field they don’t have a ton of experience with is appealing at all.
It’s time for health insurance enrollment. I live in Wisconsin/Milwaukee.. I don’t always struggle to pick the right provider. Any recommendations?

Does anyone have any insight on dealing with AA when they’ve changed your flight? I booked a flight in January for October. Originally the flight back was a non-stop from CDG to ORD. Last week I went to check on the itinerary and saw my non-stop now has a connection in DFW (way out of the way). I called AA, got a super rude attendant, and she told me that since I was informed and accepted the terms any changes I make would come with a penalty. I was not informed prior to this. Con’t

My significant other doesn’t think I should get my mba (paid for) if I plan to have more than 4 children because it’s a “waste of others peoples money and time” since I will have to care for them
What in the world is a Chief Diversity Officer? How is a seven-figure salary offered for this??? Why not just hire ten or fifteen young minorities instead??

Can someone share if MBB does any sign to close or post close work like separation planning, TSA creation, synergy modeling etc? Typically I have seen big 4/Accenture/a&m do such kind of work.
💔- when you apply for a job you really want and wait patiently for a response and when you get one after following up a week later the response is “That job opening post was in error. We don’t have a staff role as described, apologies. Thank you for your interest in (fill in the blank) “
Found out a coworker repeatedly violates our substance policy at the client site. She constantly has Copenhagen dip in. Do I call HR?
