I’m looking to go into some government work. I’ve applied for a few jobs in the NHS, in the police and in prison service. I have some transferable skills from working in hospitality both front of house, working behind the bar and serving food etc to working on potwash, cleaning plates etc to cooking the food. I’ve even applied for some apprenticeships. I can’t seem to even get an interview with showing these skills and showing genuine interest in working in those jobs. What should I do?

I recently interviewed with Accenture Federal Services and made it past final interview for strategy consulting analyst position. I just completed a prescreen but am waiting on results to determine next steps. Does anyone know how long this process takes before receiving an offer ? I developed interest in cloud computing as like many others and was able to clear AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solution Architect Associate and Professional, AWS Security.
