Hey fishes. Just got a mail from Deloitte that the lease for my Laptop has expired and I have to visit the nearest Deloitte office to replace it. My base location is in Gurgaon but my nearest office is in Kolkata and currently I am at my home. Can I get it replaced from Kolkata office? And what is the general time frame for replacement. We all know that when projects are planned and resourced properly/efficiently, the team knows exactly what they’re doing and the clients don’t scope creep, there will be periods of downtime for PMs. This is usually a good thing because that means a project is moving smoothly.

Also a bad thing because most of us PMs can’t sit still because we’re doers by nature. During these periods, how do you typically fill up your day to keep busy?

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?
