Is it reasonable for your neighbor to ask you to accommodate their home improvement projects and cut out your conference calls during reno hours?
Fair point. Thanks for the perspective GH1.
Gonna go with M1 here. Their house, their choice. That’s part of the decision when buying a house - how close you want your neighbors. It may suck, but you signed up for it.
Fair point. Houses aren’t too close, but agree. I wish I factored in global pandemic and imposed lockdown when I was looking.
So that’s a no from you? Given I’ve been forced to work from home, like the majority of the rest of the population, I’d say no unless their roof is falling down?
Just wanted some perspective, not a Socratic method session, but thanks!
Thanks bruh
No, but I think if people were blaring their TVs or music then absolutely tell them to shut it.
My building sent round a note asking people to be mindful.
Because one makes noise as a by-product of doing something and other is simply making noise that can be avoided.
Sounds like a first world country problem. I have several new houses being built around me as I live in a new community. Shutting doors and windows should cut out 90% of the noise.
Why didn’t I think of closing my doors and windows? Thanks!
EY OP, I am your neighbor and IDGAF about your conference calls. Construction 🚧 continues!
Our house isn’t very close, but backyard just happens to be closer to where my home office is located in my house to where the sound travels enough.
Also, I should have clarified, I’m referring to NON ESSENTIAL diy projects here. Like they’re building a fence around a flower bed.
OP, use noise canceling headsets
Thanks GH1. Guys, I swear I know how useful nc headphones are. I use them. I’m referring to ongoing background drilling and hammering noise during calls.
