Hello - hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm looking into risk assurance opportunities at Meta, especially Application Manager, Controls (min 5 YOE) and Manager, Compliance (min 12 YOE). I am a Senior Manager with 9 years of IT risks assurance experience. Does anyone have any thought on which position I should apply? If anyone currently at Meta could share your experience, that would also help. If anyone is open to providing referrals, I could provide my background. Facebook (Meta)
hearing people do ASMR voices pisses me off.

I work 12+ hr shifts and sometimes I don’t even get to sit down for a few minutes. I wouldn’t recommend it. Push to take an actual break, even if you’re salary. Stay hydrated, eat something even if it’s small, stay positive…
It doesn't matter how big the company is, if there are employment laws that state you are LEGALLY entitled to a break - any company can end up in front of a tribunal.
The law states it, so it legally has to be adhered to.
I'm way too reliant on coffee and energy drinks. I work two jobs and haven't gotten more than 6 hours of sleep in like 10 years. I have no idea how I would function if it wasn't for caffeine.

Pretty sure there are laws that prohibit them from keeping you from a break.
I would clock out and take that 30 minute or hour break because you deserve it. The company do not care about you.
I am sorry to hear that. I have definitely been there and especially this time of year. I am not going to lie, I rely heavily on coffee and energy drinks haha.
Is it mandatory or just that crazy busy

That sounds rough! I usually grab quick stretches or a snack whenever I can—small breaks really add up.
Better make time and advocate for those breaks. You need time to reset
