I’m realizing product management is 50% strategy, 50% politics. Getting alignment across teams, especially when they don’t report to you, is a skill I’m still trying to sharpen. I’d love to hear from other PMs or cross-functional leaders - how do you earn trust, build credibility, and get people moving in the same direction? Especially interested if you’ve got stories of buy-in that didn’t come easy but paid off.

OC has an issue with a financing term that deal teams worked out. Is it unethical to ask deal teams to discuss these terms and instruct us how to proceed? These seems to be business term where counsel can’t work out the differences, without business agreeing.

What base salary/ total comp to expect for a Sr PM in Toronto in today’s market?

I was looking at PM roles only that were around $110k, one company approached me with Sr PM (title bump) at $110k. I’m getting scheduled for final interview loop next week with this company and planning to negotiate if an offer is extended from them. I did tell them that I’m at final stage with other companies so they can expect multiple offer situation from me. Advice?
