M1 is right. You don't anybody an explanation. If you're sick, take a sick day. That's what they are for. Think of it this way, if you go to the office sick, your team will criticize you more for being sick around them than for taking a sick day.

No one is judging you... that worry is in and of itself a manifestation of your anxiety and depression. Health first — hugs.

Just say you’re ill with physical symptoms and you have to see your doctor. Say nothing more.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I guess I just struggle cause depression isn’t visible and when you sit next to your team at a conference table for 10 hours a day with no visible signs of sickness, it’s uncomfortable when someone asks how are you feeling the next day. Or when your manager pulls you aside separately and says “so were you just feeling one over yesterday?” Not only is it hard to explain, it’s personal and I shouldn’t have to.

❗️PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION FOUND IN DRUG TEST❗️As expected, it was found in a drug test as part of a background check for a conditional job offer. Hireright called me & asked me for the name of my medication, name of pharmacy & their phone number. Hi everyone I’m looking for advice and tips really.I’ve been a nurse for a year and have been a nurse in an adult imcu in a small community hospital for the past 9 months . I’ve finally landed a job in a pediatric imcu but it’s in a major medical center that receives trauma and all kinds of things I’ve never seen before. I’m just a little nervous because the acuity and the difference in children and adults. I will get 8 weeks of training and up to 12 if I’m not ready.

For those of you that have very large bonuses / equity grants compared to your base pay- how do you allocate reoccurring paychecks compared to your lump sum payments?

I recently joined this club- my base pay stayed consistent at 120k. My TC went from 150k to 250-300k.

One thing I can think of is maxing my 401k during the year than spreading that bonus out to cover the delta.

What else? This is a whole new world for me.
