Stay away from indeed and glassdoor since they are the same company
The problem is that people posting scams know what legit listings look like, so they can mimic them pretty closely. And it's unclear how much vetting happens anywhere. Given the immense number of job postings floating around it seems unlikely that there's a lot of vetting by the job boards. It shouldn't take all morning to vet a potential employer, but the only way to deal with it is to do some fast searches and try to validate things.

With AI ... You can't even tell real from fake anymore
I'm not even sure how job boards would vet job listings, because so many of these scams look completely legitimate. It's why they work so well and why many of us find ourselves in the position of talking to a scammer. I completely understand your frustration. They are praying on the desperation of job seekers and it's just plain gross.

Absolutely agree... It's a full time job and more

I relate to this so much. I now assume half my job search time is scam detection. I stick to company career pages, referrals, and niche boards. Big platforms feel noisy unless I already recognise the employer.
