After joining, both laptop and desktop is sent. Is it done for everyone or for specific domain? And does this mean the flexibility of working from anywhere ceases to exist?

Is WFH really ever going to end? I see the benefits of in-person at times, but does it really out weigh remote? As an industry we’ve done it almost two years! How likely is it places that are going to tentatively be hybrid actually follow through?

Are salesforce (Bangalore) employees working from home or hybrid?
If still WFH (all days)? How many months will it extend?
If hybrid has started, how many day per week is mandatory?

What are your strategies for completing work efficiently? How do you figure out how long projects should take? A consistent piece of feedback on my yearly reviews has been that I over-bill & spend too much time on assignments. It’s something I actively work on, but I still have no concrete sense of how long I should spend on basic tasks (e.g., drafting a motion to dismiss). My firm is right to expect that I manage my time better as a mid-level associate. WFH has made my time management worse.

Do you think WFH policies will change after this? Will companies be more relaxed/lenient with this than previously?

I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing. Before I always billed hourly, which made sense, but it’s becoming an issue now. Some companies don’t have a full days’ work, so it seems wrong to bill full days, and it allows me to juggle projects for different companies, but my billable hours are down. I know I should bill a daily rate, but not sure that will fly. Thoughts?

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow.
