I'm starting to prepare for the very real possibility that I'll be going back to the office come February. Hoping that they work out some type of rotating schedule especially seeing as there aren't enough desks for us all in the first place. Have your departments announced anything yet?

Most agencies have been doing some level of RTO for over a year now, I don't see that *drastically* changing in the next few months.

like

I think a more likely scenario is going all the way back to ancient history of 2019. A lot if not most federal employees were working at least a day or two remotely. Some were even fully remote. Not going to require everyone back on campus 5 days a week—it’s not possible. But going back to 2019 and taking geography into account when hiring? I could see that.

Any more details about it and which department do you work for?

I’ll be interested to see what happens to the Feds who were hired as teleworkers in the 2023-2024 time frame and don’t live anywhere near the offices they were hired to support.

I'm probably leaving the practice of law in Q12023

I am the junior attorney at a small PI firm (5 lawyers). I love my job and my firm, the partners, and my colleagues.

I have another opportunity that is important to me, so I'm planning to step away.

I have maybe 10-15 lit cases that I'm "responsible" for. Some of them are tar babies that I know the partners and my colleagues would hate taking over, but I don't think I'm willing to wait for resolution on them either. Thoughts?

Are Booz consulting and contracting services two completely separate business units?

Hi all!! I am a first year master of urban planning student with a focus in economic development, spatial planning, and geospatial analysis and visualization (GIS, SPSS, R). I know guidehouse has a pretty robust state and local government consulting arm (and I would love to hear from any GH employees), but what other firms have strong local and state government practices? Does anyone work in this arena and would be willing to chat with me? Thanks so much!! Enjoy your Saturday 😊

Is there a website that shares announcements of recent contract wins by federal contractors across all federal agencies?

Sometimes the leadership does not even inform you on the status of a submitted proposal unless we win the work. I get why they are doing it but it would be great if there was an external source/website that would share this info instead of us waiting around to hear from them.
