Landing an interview? Almost guaranteed. Landing a job... whole other story. So many requirements and variables at play. Good luck! I'm currently in phase 1 of the interview process right now.

OP, would you want to be a field agent, or back office / analyst

Why would you go fbi with all those business credentials. You wont be doing any financial planning as a SA

You shouldve gone right after law school

I got friends in the bureau. First, you should know you get payed shit. Second, you should know you really get paid shit. After that, pass the poly and you will be good.

Wondering for anyone who got their CFF (Ceritified Financial Forensics) designation. Was it difficult? How long does it take to study for using the review course? Is the exam mainly multiple choice or short answer and how difficult? Any guidance or tips would help please. I already have my CFE but just want to know if CFF is worth it

Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?

Currently working at an IRA with great WLB. Honestly I love my job, the firm, and people I work with.

Also doing MBA part time at a T15 school. Thinking about switching to IB but I’ve done my research and I think I would burn out of IB in two years but I might be ok with that for the opportunities after.

I'm an experienced Generalist/HRBP for an extremely high volume/large org. I have a masters in HROD and SHRM-CP. My role is getting to be more and more transactional by the day, all my strategic projects get pushed to the side by the endless daily fires that are, inevitably, tracking down employees and data entry. I'm actively looking for a new role (preferably Sr generalist etc), but can't seem to stand out among the crowd. Any tips? Louisville, KY.

Working as a Senior Accountant at Vanguard with my CPA; 3 YOE, Greater Philadelphia area. Took this job to give accounting one more try and while I don’t regret it I’m bored. Hi Everyone! I'm looking to transition from healthcare consulting to pharma / biotech preferably in BD / corporate strategy roles, especially in LA area. Would appreciate if you can share your experience if you have made the amas transition (roles? Work type?). Looking to get a sense of what type of work exists out there.

For context, I've a PhD in Life sciences and 1.5 YOE in healthcare consulting at a boutique consulting firm

I have been at a large, well-known agency for a while but thinking about making the jump to a small/mid-size firm for a big raise and promotion. Should I be worried about “prestige?” Will it be impossible to go back to large agencies in the future? Would love to know everyone’s thoughts.

I studied computer science in school but I didn’t do well due to life coming in the way. I got poor grades but ultimately finished my degree without any internship experience.

After three months of job search, I started for 45K at a construction company as a Jr App Support. After a year I shifted in to QA for 65k and now after a year of QA, I have finally gotten a position as a software engineer for 78K base.

The imposter syndrome is finally gone!

Hang in there, hard work pays off.

Currently job hunting. I know a few retired C-level executives who tell me that they would hire me at the director level in pretty much any role (despite currently being an individual contributor) because I'm extremely driven, a life-long learner, a natural leader, and deeply educated in diverse fields (PhD in engineering and MBA in analytics). However, I can't seem to land a senior role. How do I convince an executive to take a gamble on me based on my past success and strong future potential?

Hello all
I am a biology graduate. I worked in cancer research and development for more than two years. Recently moved to Canada, and now I'm wanting to transition into clinical research.
Most jobs I find online ask for atleast 2 years clinical experience.
Does anyone have any tips on how to procure this experience? Should I invest in a course? Or should I volunteer at a CRO?
I recently got offered a clinical admin position, would this count as clinical exp?
Thanks

I am a project coordinator but I do everything under the sun. Created project tracker. Submitti bids, sourcing material, negotiating price on materials, handling post construction inspections, scheduling sub contractors, notifying stakeholders, coordinating with construction managers - property owners - building management.

Hi all,

My boss makes jokes about me being from a different country whenever there is a work meeting or a gathering with coworkers, even though he knows where I am from. This usually occurs when I meet new work-related people or for example if I am in a situation that involves ethnic related subjects.

What is this? This is normal?

Stereotyping?
Racism?

The first time I ignored that, but now it has become a pattern and is bothering me now. I am south-American working in the UK.

Had a ton of coaching meetings this week regarding a different offer I’ve been considering and I don’t want to leave my current place of work. It's sad that public accounting is used as a stepping stone. It's a great job, but working 60-70 hours a week is not acceptable. Just because you did it (management) doesn't make it justifiable.
