PMP or MBA - Your thoughts ?
I'm currently in Tech Sales. However, I want to work with FAANG; it's literally my greatest dream. I have a UX Design Cert from General Assembly that I earned last year.
After months of applications and rejections, I left and got into tech sales because I knew I'd easily get a job and bills had to be paid.
I think I failed to get jobs because of a lack of visual design skills (my specialties were in project management and user research), and weak portfolio. What should I do?

HHS.gov" class="linkified" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" >HHS.gov so I basically work for the worst boss I have ever had in my life. I filled out all the disability paperwork and told her I was disabled, but now she’s angry that I have doctors appts to go to and I don’t owe her an explanation, but she doesn’t have any compassion or empathy. She even asks me to change times which I can’t since I make these appointments 6 months in advance bc they are all specialists for my incurable chronic pain disorder and being disabled, WTF

I would be happy to discuss roles at Accenture with you! Federal or non-federal.

For consulting, it sounds like you would be a SME with your value of understanding key issues at an org. For more traditional roles, that requires sales and manager revenue experience which could be a shock when not used to it. I’d look into the SME path at a big firm and then more of a traditional role at a smaller firm that you could leverage to a better offer later.
Cleared? If so it’s pretty easy to land something as long as you are being realistic with the level that you want to come in at.

You could come in as a SC. Maybe even Manager, but that would probably happen if you stayed in the same area as the military. 20 years in the military doesn’t translate directly into 20 years of civilian experience.
Get a TS. If you can somehow get a FS poly then you can do whatever you want for lots of different companies.
Also, really figure out where you will do your skill bridge internship. I know so many people that ended up in wonderful places because of it.
Check out Veterati and set up time with people and companies that interest you.
Thanks for the recommendation! I actually set up a meeting two weeks ago for tomorrow to speak with someone from Deloitte. I hadn’t met anyone else who know of the organization so it’s nice seeing you suggesting it, too.
