Saw an interesting role but trying to figure out how this will affect my earnings and career trajectory if I leave consulting (currently 2nd year consultant).. What's the salary band for an Associate Director at AbbVie? Is AD considered the same as Snr Manager at other firms? Should I be pushing for a Director level role? Any advice?
Accidentally replied to a hiring manager at 1AM instead of hitting schedule send.. does this look really unprofessional or no big deal?
If we have a prolonged recession because COVID lingers much longer than we had hoped, won’t the consulting be kind of fucked for the next 1-2 years? Like no travel benefits whatsoever, long hours, no learning from being at client, limited project opportunities for most industries, always worrying about utilization, layoffs, etc.
Senior associate role vs senior consultant (IT audit). If you are offered a Sr. Associate role within a big financial institution and you would be a Sr. Consultant in your present firm, what to do?
For Mother’s Day, let’s have a convo about being a working parent in Accounting. How do you balance your career and responsibilities as a mom? Guys, feel free to chime in on how you help out!
In tech consulting are technical MS degrees valued / higher compensated? I’m sure it is not as big of a difference as an MBA for strategy, of course.. but nothing?
Flight got cancelled and I have to stay at the airport all day. I have back to back client meetings. Can I expense a day pass in the lounge? I need privacy and quiet.
Curious, how many companies out there have a dedicated learning and development team? If you don't, who is responsible for the development of your employees?
I started a new job a few months ago and the female lead on my team told me on my first week that I should have come in two levels below the level I was hired for. She then told me the only reason I came in at the level I was hired for was because of my salary requirement and I would not get promoted easily/quickly (keep in mind I’m not thinking about this during my first week lol). Since then she has never brought this up but I still feel weird about it.

My OneNote is really disorganized and contains a lot of repetitive info that I don’t bother to look back at them. How do you organize your notes, to do(s), and review points in OneNote?
How would you rank these three items in terms of reasons why to keep a current employer ( salary, growth potential, respect)?
