Why do we give awards to students for ideas that will never happen/are ridiculous? Netflix will never make an ad unit on their app, that would sell you Burger King burgers when burgers appear in movies or shows. That's just stupid. How did this win? What am I missing?

Ooo tough choice. Don’t worry, you won’t break the manual wind. It’s designed to be wound every day for a decade. You’ll notice the winding to get stiffer as the main spring is wound and the tension increases. You’ll actually hit a stopping point when it’s fully found, and so long as you aren’t super aggressive with it and let off pressure as soon as you feel the final resistance, it’ll be fine. It’s literally designed for it.
The Aquaterra is a more versatile watch (automatic, versatile styling, water resistance, date), but the Moonwatch is a classic and timeless design that does what it’s intended to do better than any other watch. It is quite simply the most legible, manual wind Chronograph that exists, and it looks good doing it.
Thank you for your detailed response! It’s a hard decision as I didn’t want a ‘busy’ dial and was leaning towards the AT for a clean dress watch lol, but the Moonwatch just felt a lot more comfortable on my wrist. That’s reassuring re the manual winding!

Green dial is fun, but not as versatile as black imo from the design perspective. However 50m water resistance and a manual wind is a tough sell for me personally. Best advice is to get both :)
Thanks - on second thoughts, I have to agree with you on Black being a better design option!

If this is going to be your one watch collection, pick the speed master. ATs are good as second or third watches, you’ll get bored of it sooner than you think. But the speedy is eternal.

Really depends on your lifestyle. If it involves the water, it has to be the AT. I have personally heard two too many horror stories about speedy water damage.
It’s an amazing watch, just would sit in the drawer most of the summer for me. And wouldn’t travel the rest of the year either
I too went in to check out an AT. I picked up the moonwatch sapphire instead and would never make a different decision.
OP & ACM1, I am basically the both of you
Black AT:
Last one - side by side!
Green AT:
I felt like the green is a tad too bright under certain light angles - I’m not sure I’ll still be digging that in 5 years so prefer the black AT
Sorry for the spam - pics for reference! Would love your thoughts 🐠
