IMO, Hermès is worth it if you want a timeless piece. Dior is hot right now but sometimes it isn’t.
Agreed, go with Hermès if you want a designer belt with a logo
Unless your own initials are “CD”, I’d get the Hermès. Buy a used one! And just replace the leather part if necessary. Also - how much do you actually wear belts?
Sorry but those are cheugy 😬
“Chew-ghee”
These belts scream “I want you to know I can spend this money”. Minimal style factor for my taste.
I love Dior and like this but wonder if you would consider Ferragamo? Theirs are about $400 but are a little more understated.
Love this one!

If you like the belt get the belt. Youre asking fashion advice to a bunch of folks who thought a tote was unprofessional because it was baby blue 😂.
Pro
That tote was unprofessional in many of our more traditional industries. Neutral colors only.
It seems a little try-hard and trendy to me.
I always think about price per wear when making a purchase. I think a versatile quality belt you’ll have for a while is justified :)
So tacky
Ya I really don’t think AA2’s comment is rude. OP asked for opinions and they said it’s tacky. It would be rude if they said OP was tacky for liking it, but that’s not the comment.

Looks very nouveau riche to me
It is beautiful and you only live once ! These belts last for years, I’ve had mine for 7 years now and it still looks great ! Go for it 😁 get the Hermès in camel/brown color 😁

You can get a plain black, high quality leather belt for much less money without the CD logo. I’d save your money and spend it on a piece that is more unique to Dior. If you really want a logo’d belt, I agree Hermes is a better purchase.
Honestly, I do not like this at all. I just don’t like the design of the logo. I agree that the Gucci logo belt is overplayed, but I do think it looks nicer than this one. If you’re going for a logo belt, I’d go Hermès. It’s timeless and looks nice; I don’t think it necessarily screams “logo.” You could also get a really nice quality, simple black belt without the logo for that kind of money as well.
Saw this on a friend, thought it was cute. I think it’s all about how you wear it 😇
Have you looked at YSL belts? Different than Gucci but similar price tag starting around $375. The smaller sizes are often out of stock but you could easily buy a leather hole punch to adjust if needed.

I second Ferragamo but if you want a statement, do the Chanel. It’s 800 but worth it
That Dior belt is not a guaranteed timeless design since Dior just came up with the CD logo a few years ago, who knows when they will decide to change their logo design again in a few years. Go for the Hermes- it is guaranteed timeless, classic, and you can own one for life (get a reversible belt so you can have two different colors, or get new buckles to match, super versatile)
If you’re looking for quality without the cringe brand logo (imo) check out the estate belts from Rachel Comey. Linking here. They come in different colors and widths. The buckle is brass and a really nice weight. The leather is durable and not too stiff/soft. Seriously cannot recommend enough. Got a thin one in black and a regular one in the tan color on sale. Love them.
And I think it’s spot on for versatility between casual and slightly dressed up. It’s not the most dressy though.
