Fish fam - quite new to all this and would appreciate your support. if I am based in a high income tax state but work on site in a lower income tax state. Can I claim the paid taxes back from my home state or do I always pay income tax based on where my home office location is?

We outsource our payroll function. But as the head of HR in a rapidly-growing business but still young, I'm still managing a portion of the administrative burdens related to payroll, PTO, insurance, etc. Recruiting, full onboarding duties, and company policies are among SOME other tasks I own. Beyond this, everytime the word "compliance" arises, immediately, it's put on my plate. My company stretches the word "onboarding" to when we bring on subcontractors, it is again an "HR thing." Thoughts?

Do you know if they fire you if you go overbudget on time too many times?

My manager basically gave me an unlimited budget to get whatever certifications I want. My career profile is similar to a Solution Architect- what should I get? I am thinking about Okta (I do some SAML work), Domo, ITIL, Six Sigma, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Six Sigma, anything else? I have AWS Cloud Practitioner already. I am hoping to pivot to Product Management or Data Science.

My salary is 7.5 fixed + 50k joining bonus (total CTC:9)
I joined in mid so total working days:16
My total earnings (gross salary for this month) is showing 82k(including joining bonus) but they have deducted 1800 for pf(this is fine) and almost 12k for income tax. I am first time in tax bracket so want to know will this much tax be deducted every month? 😭

What does a new band 4 bonus range look like at Bank of America?

I am in a design/production role at a mid-sized agency. We currently only have one person on the digital team doing UX. I recently presented my manager with a proposal for a new position, UI Designer, that I want to move into.
I would love some advice on how to negotiate salary on a new position that doesn't current exist. How do you respond to an offer? What if they say it's a lateral move and don't offer me any additional compensation?
