Imagine this: upper management suddenly implements a new policy where every employee has to submit a detailed report each week outlining what they accomplished—to “justify their existence” at the company. If you don’t, it’s considered as you having resigned. It’s framed as a productivity measure, but it feels more like a way to push people out. If you were in this situation, would you comply, push back, or start looking for the exit? Have you ever dealt with an unreasonable demand like this, and how did you handle it?

Where did that article/blurb come from? I don’t disagree with what they are asking for honestly, but how it is being done is the issue. The press secretary talked about it, saying it was really up to each department/organization to figure out how to implement it and get it done. Disagree that it is an outlandish request, agree completely that the social media posts around it are.

Well said.

I mean isn't that just pretty much a time card? I guess when I have done timecards in the past they weren't all that detailed though so I am not sure if it would be the same or not.

3 attorney firm. I’ve been here for 6 years and have used Westlaw exclusively. Now we are switching to Lexis because apparently Westlaw is too expensive. I hate change. I know where everything is on Westlaw and now I need to relearn. Apparently Westlaw will not budge on price and would rather just see a client leave than work with them. Super annoying. Any insight on negotiating Westlaw or transitioning to lexis?

I have a young student with CVI and extremely limited mobility. She is able to vocalize but not speak. However, I’ve seen her response and mannerisms change (positively) in the presence of parents and siblings which leads me to believe that she is cognizant enough to possible use a communication device. However, I don’t even know where to start with researching the best one for her. Any suggestions?
