If your company has levels or grades then it shouldn’t be a secret. Ask them what your PIR (percentage in range) is and from there you should be able to tell where you’re at in compensation. Keep in mind it is an organizations objective to have people at or slightly below the median of the range. For example if your jobs level is a 9 and the range for that level is 100-120 then your PIR should be 50% or slightly below at 110. If you’re above that then you’re doing well within that range.

My spouse has been with his company for over a year and he still can’t get a solid answer around their levels and pay ranges. Each band has 3 levels and some people have said the higher the number the lower the level and others have said the opposite.
