In New Zealand I've applied for 26 digital/marketing jobs, have had 8 interviews over the last 2-3 months. Finally in the last stages of the interview process for a role.

Bad interview experiences I've had:
2 places I interviewed still haven't got back to me despite chasing them both more than once
1 surprise test in interview
1 hiring manager yawning

Through every interview I've learnt a lot and at the end I've been able to remember my answers and then run off vibes! Good luck homies!

I'm currently interviewing for Director of Digital Marketing and Demand Gen roles. I have all the competencies required and can demonstrate all the skills through examples from my experience.

The issue I keep getting stuck at is my lack of people management experience. I have some people management from early roles, led project teams, agencies, and currently mentor people in the company. However the feedback is always lack of people mgmt exp.

Any tips on getting how to flip the narrative?

I’ve been in my current role for almost 4 years. While I am generally happy, & have flexibility with time off for personal matters, there are things that bother me. I'm the hiring mgr for designers in my org. I recently discovered pay band information given to me by the HR generalist I'm working with on hiring was outdated and updated bands had been released over the summer (prior to my hire date). The outdated information had led me to believe a prime candidate was out of range. Aside from incompetence, can anyone think of a reason why HR might have withheld information about the pay bands? I assume mgrs see the full monty when it comes to pay...right?

Currently in risk consulting but seconding at an international bank for internal audit on trade related scopes. Recently got offered to join them at a higher level position. Need advice on career path of IA at bank if it's worth, because they pay would be gradually higher than consulting in the later years when reaching VP level and coming in from different industry, the new scopes are interesting. But what would I be missing out on if I stayed in consulting?

CTR, contracts and department overhaul

our marketing dept is undergoing a complete overhaul. under old leadership, a $75k 12-mo contract was signed to a marketing group that handles our SEO, blog and everything Google Ads. All things I can and am in training to do. Current CTRs on G ads seem pitiful at no more than 0.75%. My meta ads coast around 4-6%. During this overhaul, would it be wise to not renew our contract, and negotiate for me to take over these roles and leverage a raise?
