Hang in there!!! It gets better. The thoughts I tried to focus on is that they'll never be that little again and to try in find joy in that. For later sleep regressions I used 5g of creatine in my morning smoothies and it helped tremendously. Not saying that will work for ya but just throwing it out there....
Just got out of it and things definitely starting to get better around month 5. Still very short 30 minute naps but not as difficult to get her to sleep or nap. Hang in there!
My condolences, but this too shall pass. You'll find a way to adapt either through sleep training or co-sleeping, or whatever thing you will do consistently. I personally can not function without sleep so sleep training was an absolute necessity and no regrets.
It’s the worst! It only lasts around 2 weeks. Get those chunky naps in, however you can, even if that means contact napping. And then when he’s out of the regression, train him properly to sleep in the crib. Precious Little Sleep is the only useful book, imo. And I tried ‘em all.
This too shall pass! Hang in there.
So frustrating! Feed at the beginning of a wake window so baby has time to burp and digest.
The key to putting the baby down awake is to get them like 80-90% of the way there to sleep then put them down right before they pass out. I think precious little sleep covers the cues.
Now is the time that they will be attuned to the environment and wind down rituals. I had a very strict nap ritual of white noise, sleep sack, pacifier (used only for sleep), blackout curtains then playing his favorite song 3x while rocking or dancing with him. Once his eyelids started to get droopy I’d put him down.
I moved my baby to a crib and his own room at this age. Also used the Magic Merlin which he loved. My kiddo hated his bassinets lol.
