I/o psychologists: How important is it to get a masters or PhD from a well known university to get a good job?

Anyone heard of/done the PowerMBA? How was it? Was it worth it? Should I just go to proper b school, overpricing & all...?

Enrolled in Stern for a few weeks.
The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

Will an MBA set me apart? I have a BS in Marketing from top 15 undergraduate business program with a 3.8 gpa, 2 years work experience (3 by the time I’d enroll), and scored in the 63rd percentile on the gmat. Just received a formal offer from Deloitte Consulting as a SC in Strategy & Analytics. Base is $125K, no sign-on bonus. This isn’t much of an increase from what I’m making now. Haven’t reached out to negotiate yet and the recruiter has been pretty quick on the phone so far. I’m coming from a smaller firm, 8 YOE, mainly data analytics and cloud.
