I believe that prestige is not as important as my skills and completed research.
I think it has been very important and very helpful because it is the first thing they notice at the time of a job interview or a promotion.
I cannot speak for everyone, but I believe that the prestige of my school has had a positive impact on my career. I was lucky enough to attend a top-tier university, and I think that this has helped me stand out from the crowd. My peers are all highly educated and extremely talented, and I know that this has given me a competitive edge in the job market.
0 impact. A slightly better chance to get my first ever interview I guess but thats it.
The prestige, practically none. BUT we did have an excellent career services department that put me in contact with the right people to advance my career
Maybe a teensy bit in landing that first job, but afterward the only thing that has been even remotely relevant has been my previous work experience
I'd say none whatsoever. The prestige doesn't amount to much aside from having a nice-looking diploma on your wall. It's your personal achievements at work that are going to help you grow your career
