Hello! I’m currently a senior in Civil Engineering at a pretty good university, nothing Prestigious or ticketed but definitely a somewhat high ranked program. Anyways, I’m looking to change my career path into a banking analysts and hope to work my way to investment banking. My plan is to take the GMAT and hopefully get a nice MBA degree from a top university while obtaining a banking internship. Hi im looking to change paths and pursue IB, im working as a financial analyst at a big retail company right now and im working on acquiring my SIE. Just wondering if anyone has advice as to how to get IB firms to respond fo my applications and score more interviews. My H1B is not selected in the second lottery. The next lottery is the only option of getting selected. My STEM-OPT will expire in May 2023. I have some questions 1) If H1B gets selected will I be able to work till October 1st (which is when H1B status gets changed) ? 2) My wife will file her I140 in Feb 2023 can she also file H1 EAD along with it? 3) worst case scenario should I enroll in for day 1 CPT program?

I'm 3.8 years experienced Manual tester with the experience of API and DB basic testing. I'm not having much experience in automation but I am learning.
I got selected in a few companies and wish to have my package to 70-80k per month.
But HR doesn't provide me this hike as from the start my basic pay was low and because of it I still don't get much progress in it

Can anyone give me their honest opinion on working at Eli Lilly, the Indy site? I have a few coworkers that have worked there in the past but no one recently. I’m currently being recruited pretty seriously for a in-vivo technician position in the auto-immune team, but I already have a job lined up at Envigo as a small animal sx tech. Salaries would be comparable (Lilly would most likely be a little more with bonuses), but if the culture sucks, I’d hate to burn a bridge with Envigo.

Does anyone know how to successfully transition from academia clinical research into industry clinical operations? I’m currently at a director level of a large research program in academia and oversee operations. Prior to that I was a clinical research coordinator with extensive trial experience from study startup-close out. I’m not sure what level would be a good transition step and open to new roles/opportunities as well.
