If you are working in lower manhattan Jersey city is not a bad option. Pretty close
Brownsville Brooklyn

Dude moved to NYC probably last year and thinks he knows the ins and outs of Brooklyn.☝️

I don't go out to bars much nor am I much into luxury stuff, but I will probably be quite into the classical music scene and see the occasional symphony concert or opera. I don't have any debt, and in the beginning I'd probably eat out quite a bit but I'd like to learn how to cook.

130k is more than enough.
Agreed. I live in Brooklyn and support a kid on 125K, although I often question how much longer I am going to be able to afford living here as it is so expensive. But 130K for a single person is a pretty good salary even by New York standards.
Are you considering BK or queens or only Manhattan?
I’ll get rekt for saying it but jersey city’s isn’t bad especially if your office is there
Yes it’s reasonable, try to target 1B under 3k (bc you’re just over the 40x rent rule for a 3k apartment). You’ll probably have the most luck looking in Murray Hill/Kips Bay, East Village, near Chinatown, or above the 80s at that price point

Yes, it’s a perfect amount for a single person with no debt!

Yes. Move to Washington Heights. I was making $65k in 2013 when I moved here with my wife and two kids. Single income house hold. You’ll be fine.
Where does a 24 year old project manager making $130k work? I’ve never seen numbers like that for a junior project manager.

Hi there, it's a bank. I currently make 80k as a Digital Marketing PM at a F100 bank. My new role for 130k is Prod. Strategy VP at BB.
For context: I graduated in May 2020 during COVID and couldn't land a job for a year, so I worked for free as a "Manager" at a startup while I applied for full-time work - as an experimental investment in my career progression, then I made $250/month working as a "Communications Director" of a campaign for Congress that won, which set up my resume to get hired at a Product Manager level by an F100 earlier this year, and now I'm jumping to a VP level at a BB.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to grow and reach higher for my potential after struggling so much to get off the ground, and I'm not taking anything for granted.
