150K is really good.

150 is good for Texas.

like

Yes, worth it.

Depends on firm and service line. Great for audit/tax. Good for risk, IT, or accounting advisory. Maybe a little bit low for FDD, forensics, or valuation.

The fact that I’m an advisory manager in Houston and have general knowledge built through my own career, research, participation in the hiring process, and my network of recruiters and current and former coworkers across service lines.

I also checked against some pretty comprehensive internal compensation information I have from my big 4 firm.

Worth what?

Like is 150 a good base salary? In Houston Texas?

What SL is this?

CFO Advisory

It’s a good base for Houston TX

Plenty good!

Why does this seem a tad low ?

Manager in what niche exactly

150 for a manager role is good anywhere but SF.

In TX, it’s great.

Sounds pretty good for Texas, but I’m not too familiar on pay ranges there. Also, good or bad depends on what service line you’re referring to

Advisory

You can get more. If you’re a brand new manager, on lower end (expect 160-170). As an experienced manager expect 175-225

Helpful. Mind me asking how much you make years of service etc ?

Hell ya

How does contract to hire work? If I’m offered $37/hr on w2 for 3 months and then possibly a permanent position, how much can I expect to get annually as a full time company employee as a BI data analyst II? I have a M.S. and certificates in DA but this will be my first job as DA.
I prefer working for what is offered on contract without negotiating, and then negotiate when I transition into the company itself so I have a better chance of getting the contract position and show my skills.

Does anyone ever question the possibility of going to law school?

I’m a 23yo female legal assistant working/living in Canada. I am completing my BA in hopes of continuing with law school after. But, I just turned 23 and I’m anxious about my love life and starting a family. I haven’t had a boyfriend since 2019 and I’ve poured my heart and soul into my education & career.

I’ve always wanted to go to law school since age 14. But I also want a husband/kids. I don’t feel like I can have both.

Next week I’m having my first lateral interview as a junior associate. I’m very nervous because the group with whom I’m interviewing works with life science/tech clients and the attorneys have strong science/tech backgrounds; and I do not. However, I am very, very interested in transitioning to this practice. And I reaaally want this job because it’s at my dream firm. How would you recommend preparing for the lateral interview?

Any recommendations for good recruiting agencies in the Carolinas? Trying to find someone to help me navigate my potential lateral career options based on my experience and interests since I’ve been in litigation almost two years and it’s not for me and I will be relocating there.
