Is anyone else concerned with the media bias against Trump (and presidents, in general, including Obama). The good things he's doing are being overshadowed by the negative news, which is...

You are absolutely correct. The media has actually become a huge joke in the last couple of years. I would never vote for Trump in a million years but the decline of the media may actually be worse than him becoming president in the long term

like

@OP: His current behavior is more than enough to dictate my opinion of his current actions. Asking the head of the FBI to pledge loyalty is the kind of thing that happens in tinpot dictatorships, not the so-called leader of the free world.

I think the real danger E1 is that the choices of the democratic majority actually don't count. For example: candidate loses the popular vote by 3 million votes yet somehow still becomes president.

like

Sorry P1 but when the will of a few becomes over represented at the expense of the many, it doesn't seem very legitimate to me.

like

@P4: Circulated mostly by blogs and ransoms. Don't tar "the media" all with the same brush. Deadspin is not the same as the NYT...

like

@P3: he's exposed weaknesses in our institutions... think about him as a political pen tester

like

Hmmm, interesting notion. If I'm reading correctly you're basically saying he's such a poor example of a president that it's putting strain on the system and showing the flaws?

like

That's certainly the most positive way to spin what's happening 😂

I did not vote for trump but here are some "good "things he has done from my perspective (note I'm not discounting the bad things...): negotiated a trade deal with china which allows the us to export beef to one of the largest consumers of it, illegal immigration is down 67%, held the "redline" we previously set in Syria, Gorsuch confirmed to Supreme Court, Mattis for sec defense, improved relations with Netanyahu

like

@P4 Illegal immigration is only down because he's scared people from wanting to come here. That also includes many tourists, students, highly-skilled immigrants.

like

"Improved relations with nethanyahu" ok I'm a jew and pretty conservative when it comes to Israel but come on. Trump deserves no credit because frankly he's done nothing except bash Obama's Israel policy. He has no understanding or appreciation for the Israel/Palestinian conflict.

To quote D1- what good things has he done?

like

@P4: Democratic leadership isn't saying that, just random parts of the media - blogs for the most part. And the media has also openly debunked it https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/fact-checker/wp/2017/05/06/no-the-gop-health-bill-doesnt-classify-rape-or-sexual-assault-as-a-preexisting-condition/

Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Corey Booker, Debbie Wasaerman Schultz and Tom Price all said people will die to name a few. Check twitter and CNN. And yes, the GOP took action which hastened its demise but let's not kid ourselves that it was going to last even if Hillary had won.

Also, the article you posted shows my exact position was true. The Washington post tried to debunk something that had already been circulated far and wide. The damage was already done.

*Tom Perez not Price

*randoms

Tom Perez is the DNC chair? Are you daft? He's not a random. Sigh.... sheeple

Can you go into more detail with that D4?

I'm not going to type an essay on here, but the US system has a whole lot of checks and balances designed to prevent dictatorships and the like. They're being tested now.

Lol, can't disagree with you

So... op you are still dodging the question: what good has trump done? Since you haven't answered I'm going to answer for you: the Muslim ban.

He made the number of the working visa applicants 25% less than last year (mainly Indian outsourcing/low cost consulting companies) by claiming to re-evaluate the visa police. It gives us international students higher chance to get working visa

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
