We can’t have classroom management without taking care of ourselves first. Rest. Even if it’s for 2 minutes. We close our eyes and reset.

Has anyone successfully gotten their company to change their benefits? Our speciality pharmacy provided (Accredo) is so inept I’m repeatedly missing doses of my medication and routinely spending over an hour on the phone during work hours arguing with them. I work at a small company (40 people) and our insurance is blue cross Illinois (who contracts with Accredo for specialty pharmacy). Is there any way I could convince them to switch specialty pharmacy providers? Who would I even talk to?

Looking for advice. My wife and I knew we had to go the surrogacy route to grow our family. However, recently we learned that we may also have to go the donor egg path. Although it is possible for my wife to extract her eggs, it would be an uncommon and low probability procedure. She seems fine with the kid not being genetically linked to her or looking like her. I feel selfish that for me genetically linked and similar looking children is important. Anyone with thoughts/experiences to share? Tx

My confession is that I have seen the medical field change so much over the past 20 years, that it's unrecognizable in both good and bad ways. More people are leaving than staying, and I am worried the quality of care is dwindling. I try not to burden friends and family with some of the things I've seen recently, but the short version is that I'm no longer sure I have faith or trust in it myself.

I just started my third trimester and recently fractured one of my molars while eating soft fries (not sure how), but I had a root canal done on that tooth years ago so the tooth is actually a crown. I went to a dentist for consult and the dentist informed me that I will need a new crown since I lost a big chunk of the old one. The dentist wouldn’t even consider any other options because he doesn’t believe there is a good temporary fix… (More in comments)

What are some things you guys outsource to save time and/or money? Lately I've been thinking it would be nice to find someone to make medical chronologies for me. I didn't even realize it was an option until my friend who does PI told me his firm hires nurses to make theirs. Makes me wonder what else I might be missing out on.

Pregnant with my first, due 3rd week of April. My husband has an optional work trip in February for a few days, and asked if I was comfortable with him going. My first reaction was of course, it's still a couple months out from my due date and I'm having a healthy pregnancy so far. Am I under thinking this? Any other considerations I should have?

D 🐟, what does the travel (in non-covid times, of course) look like in GPS? I'm my offer letter it mentions the chance of significant overnight travel. I'm assuming that's in there because the travel is possible, even though its less frequent for the practice.

Does that seem in line with your experience?
