ALL salaries are stagnating AND decreasing. I feel blessed to make what I make. I live in ATL, my company is based in a small Midwest area with a low cost of living but I make 150k plus uncapped commission. I’m grateful because although I’ve seen some comparable roles at 200k, I see a lot at 80-90 max plus capped commission.
It's rough out there! I make like the minimum I can to comfortably afford an apartment without a roommate. To be fair my title never pays a lot and is always going to cap if I'm not managing anyone, but in the past it at least had more of a range. Kinda sucks if it's happening everywhere, kinda comforting that it's not just me and may get better eventually.
I also feel blessed to make what i make. My job is NY based and i get almost 6 figures. ATL jobs are for my role are barely breaking 80k if that.

It’s the industry. I got laid off and only figured after turning down two jobs that the market isn’t paying what it was. Supply outweighs demand so salaries have adjusted downward.
Ah man, I'm sorry! It's not a great time for job searching but I'm hoping we'll see it pick back up soon
Maybe it depends on the industry. I work in tax and the roles I’ve seen pay comparable salaries to NYC.
That makes sense! I'm thinking the bigger ad agencies may be similar, but those can be hard to break into. I work for a fashion company and those are few and far between in ATL.
