We made changes to stabilize; if there are any accountants in MI I have a 100% remote job that’s open 🙂 $70-$75k
My most recent nonprofit time was at a theatre. The people in charge of selecting the plays did a poor job And Then There Was None was frankly the Worst Production I had seen in my entire time there. Word of mouth was terrible and by the end of the fiscal year we were deep in the red. They cleaned house from Management to staff and I was just one of those who was cut. I found another job but it took about 3 months.
As Exec Director of a once thriving nonprofit, I can tell you that we have pivoted and pumped life into our organization for a year now. I’ve had to let everyone go after receiving the dreaded “Dear John” letter from the federal government (we are way too focused on underrepresented youth). If I were in your position, I would start the process of updating resumes and networking. While orgs have every hope of recovering from this strange time, we will need some major corporate and individual donors to step up as fed funding disappears.
