Interested in hearing about anyone who has added a second full time staff person. Current setup is two main advisors (have a few licensed solicitors) and one main admin. Getting to the point where she has too much on her plate. We have been bringing on paid interns to alleviate some of the stress. Thinking about adding another person but unsure that we need an additional full time staff person. Recently heard an employee per every 350-400k of GDC (advisors included) was a good guideline.

Wonder if anyone can offer advice on which cert to pursue next? I obtained my CompTIA Security+ last year and wondering if I should go for the CySA+ or Pentest+ next. I also have my AWS CCP and will be sitting for the Solutions Architect soon as well. Currently not doing security stuff at work but would love to keep my skills going. I was hoping one of these next certs will help me finally break into a security role and love the idea of pentesting but not sure if the CySA+ is more beneficial.

Need help settling a debate with my friend. She thinks I will have an easier time getting research grants because I'm male. Good morning, I am a recent under-grad and working as a BI Developer. I’m looking at transitioning to a project or product manager role and I have 1+ YOE. I know the job market is not that great as of now but I’ve applied to countless PM roles and have had no success. I want to know from other PM’s if it’s necessary for me to get a PMP certification before I can get a job or it’s not that of a requirement?

I’m a business analyst for a large scale custom system for a client. My goal is to pivot to being a Product Manager in industry. Would a scrum master certification help my resume or should I do an AWS one? Already have other agile certifications

I’m working a internal consulting type of cost engineer role and is seems like a good position to gain skills in that could apply to becoming a PM in the future. I have also worked in design engineering and engineering analysis roles. Have a BS in mechanical engineering and a MS in Data Analytics Engineering.

I recently interviewed at a fast growing pre-IPO company for a Strategic PM role and I was sold that the comp should be around $180-200k plus RSU which should be about $300k annualized TC if all goes well. I have 14 years YOE in tech, but this would be my first intro to PM roles. How much signing bonus is reasonable to ask for if I am giving up on equity and quarterly commission pay to leave my current company?

Got a really nice referral, got interviewed, and haven’t heard back. The anxiety is kinda getting to me because this job can be a huge break for me. I’m a great fit and have the right credentials and all. How do you guys deal with the stress of losing an opportunity or getting rejected?
